Loving Journey...

Yesterday (Thursday, February 7th 2019), I looked at my self in the mirror after hearing comments on how Black women are beautiful because of their curves and their dark melanin and their nappy hair and I could go on.

I looked in the mirror and I judged myself and then realised that I was dumb to treat myself the way I had.

In those brief 7 seconds, I wanted to be more thin, more fit, more curvious, more dark, more like a black beauty. Then it hit me. WHAT THE HECK is the definiton of black beauty? or Asian beauty and European beauty for that matter? Who the heck determines that? The world?

NO!

YOU!

You get to decide that when you look at yourself in the mirror you are FLAW-LESS

Does changing yourself to feel better works... Does it really work? Boys, girls, anyone?

When you change something about yourself that you do not appreciate, do you really feel like you are a better person or a better version of yourself?

As I did what I had to do in the bathroom,

I came to realise that I only want to improve myself after completely loving who I am.

I tried to be thinner, smarter, more similar to the beauty type society has.

But truth be told, no one should feel miserable looking like a prototype bimbo or whatever you call that...

And I am not judging the ones who are skinny at all.

I'm only saying that love has different sizes, shapes and color.

Love yourself the way God made or the way you were made...

So yes,

I love my little stomach that has three levels when I sit down

I love the cellulites I have in my butt and thighs

I love the crease in my cheeks that are accentuated by the chubby ones

I love the fact that I am freaking 5 feet 1

I love the fact that my skin is as dark as 65% cocoa chocolate.

I love the human being I am

Princesses of the world,

Lift up one another with compliments and nice words to one another.

Don't be ashamed to feel what you feel inside and express yourself.

You are FAN-TAS-TIC and

*CLAP-CLAP* FIERCE.

ENJOY!!!
